Lovely silver plate art deco style antique rosary

This fine example is in great condition. Bought from the Barcelona antiques market this lovely antique rosary originates from France. Silver plate center medal has image of Mary and hallmark 23 R and makers mark on it. This rosary dates from beginning of 20th century and is Art deco in style. Antique silver plated rosary has six extra medals by the Pater beads with different images of Jesus on it - Jesus with crown of thorns, sacred heart and St. Joseph with baby Jesus; and a delicate flower spray on reverse - so typical of French medals.

Amazingly beautiful crucifix has lot of detail on it and seems to be silver gilt with most of the gold worn off. You can still see traces of it on the inlay. Chain and beads are probably also silver plate, even though they are even to colour, nothing shining through, so possibly also silver.
